The Tumblr blog Indie Basketball has kept me giggly the past few days. You see, I'm posting something about sports to compensate for the regretfully emasculating but inevitable word choice in the previous sentence.
"Jason Kidd joined my favorite emo band The Get Up Kids? The Portland Trailblazers' Damian Lillard is in The Jesus Lizards? Which intrinsically makes them The Jesus Lillards? Oh, I get it. It's word play, indie music, and professional basketball!" is an exaggerated version of my thought process, dramatized to make this blog more enticing. You don't even have to be a fan of pro basketball to enjoy this. Hell, I haven't watched a televised contest in probably seven years. My favorite team is the '95 Bulls, and only because I'm a Chicagoan and it's another thing we can be proud of.
